How does this work?
Your order will arrive the day before the event, (shipped overnight express with FedEx or UPS) inside an insulated cooler with a freezer pack. The butterflies are packaged within individual release boxes, so there is absolutely no preparation of any kind necessary. This safe and proven method of shipping ensures a healthy arrival of your butterflies!

How are they packaged?
The butterflies are packaged individually in separate release boxes. Each order includes free personalization of these boxes (meaning we can print the name of the bride and groom on the box). We also can print the text in your choice of color. They can also be packaged loose inside of 1 large release box, so they can all be released together at one time. We can also do a combination of a mass release and an individual release for an additional charge of $10.00 per order.

What about the weather?
We understand that weather conditions can change and that you, the customer cannot control it. Unlike most of our competitors we offer a weather guarantee. Simply, if the weather looks unfavorable closer to the event time, we will cancel your order without penalty. Please read our complete weather policy on our FAQ page for more information.

Are these live butterflies or chrysalis?
We ship live adult butterflies only! When you receive them, there is no care or preparation necessary on your end. Simply put, they arrive Ready-for-Release!

Do you guarantee live butterflies?
Yes, we guarantee that you will receive live, healthy butterflies. Please read our guarantee at the bottom of the page for more information.

When do I need to order them?
Orders should be placed at least 2 weeks prior to the event date to guarantee availability and pricing. Short notice orders placed Monday-Friday can be shipped out the same day if you call to verify availability prior to placing an online order. Online orders take 24-48 hours to process.**

What is included with the order?
All orders include individual release boxes (or glassine envelopes if you prefer) with free personalization and your choice of color printing. Each order also includes a complementary copy of the butterfly Indian legend, and complete care instructions. Additionally, orders of 3 dozen butterflies or more include a free mass release box!

When will I receive the order?
We ship most orders to arrive the day prior to the planned release date. Most deliveries occur before Noon, but in rural areas it may be as late as 6 p.m.  local time.

Does somebody need to be home to sign for the order?
No signature is required to receive the order, but we do recommend having someone stay to take the package inside upon delivery. You may also leave a note on the door to have the package left with a neighbor or left at the door. We do not recommend leaving a package at the door unattended due to possibly high temperatures outside. 

Do you ship internationally?
We only ship to the United States, not including Alaska or Hawaii.

capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it.

Since a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal
the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who sees and hears all.

In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom,
the Great Spirit will always grant the wish.

So, according to legend, by making a wish and giving the butterfly its freedom,
the wish will be taken to the heavens to be granted
